“My name is Phebe Jenson. I started taking piano lessons from Lori Stokes in preschool and have continued to take to this day! In 6th grade I started accompanying choirs, and I started my own little piano studio. I love the joy that music has brought into my life and I am so thankful to Alana Eaton for this scholarship that will help me continue my education and study of music!”

Betsy Wiscombe Piano Scholarship Recipient

High School: Pleasant View High School, Pleasant View, Utah

University: Brigham Young University

At 5 years old, Skye Marie Seamons began her classical piano training. Inspired by her wonderful teachers, she started her own piano studio and loves to see the progress of her students as they learn to appreciate music. A lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, Skye is the valedictorian of the Pleasant Grove High School class of 2021. With help from the Betsy Wiscombe Scholarship, Skye is excited to start a major in Biology at Brigham Young University this fall and is equally excited to further her musical training at the college level.

University: Weber State University

“I am Bethany Wallentine and am the daughter of Jill and Don Wallentine. I feel so honored to have received this scholarship. I’ve lived in Mantua, Utah all my life and love it. I began singing when I was the age of four and have continued to do so throughout my life. I was fortunate enough to study with Tami VanDusen for three years. After high school I plan to attend Weber State University and do all I can to always continue my education as well as my vocal performance abilities.”

Dee Pace Theater Scholarship Recipient

Recipient: Lexie LaFeber

High School: Weber High School, Brigham City, Utah

University: Utah State University

Lexie LaFeber is passionate about musical theatre. She is a graduate of Weber High School, where she performed in numerous musicals, including Newsies, Mamma Mia, The Robber Bridegroom, Urinetown, and Fiddler on the Roof. She has a passion for performing and loves to bring joy to others whenever she is on stage. She enjoys participating in service for her school, church, and community, and she loves her country. She is looking forward to pursuing music in college, and plans to continue participating in musical theatre for as long as she can. She wishes to thank the Dee Pace Memorial Foundation for choosing her to receive this scholarship, and is honored to carry on the legacy of Dee Pace.

Dee Pace Theater Scholarship Recipient

Calvin Crane

Calvin Crane

Recipient: Calvin Crane

High School: Box Elder High School, Brigham City, Utah

University: Utah State University

Calvin Crane is a high school senior at Box Elder High School in Brigham City, UT. He has participated in theater since he was 8 years old. He has played many different roles, he favorites being Gavroche in Les Mis, Crutchie in Newsies and SpongeBob in The SpongeBob Musical. He will be serving a mission in Київ, Ukraine starting this July, and when he gets back he will attend Utah State University where he will pursue Fixed-Wing Aviation and participation in community theater wherever possible.
